The Uki Café, ..soon to have new owners! Owner chef Alison Trevor established this restaurant right in the heart of Uki a few years ago. Today the Uki Café is the food hub of the town. The restaurant sits proudly overlooking the main street, the Old Buttery and the Lower Tweed river with a ring of mountains behind.
All this vista is great when you sit on the verandah in the afternoon breezes, but absolutely best of all is the quality and creativity of the food that is unfailingly delivered from Alisons kitchen.
The menu is contemporary and yet deceptively simple. It includes an array of modern meals that could be found in St Kilda or Balmain. My favourites are the various salads of lamb or chicken or Thai fish. Always light with just the right touch. The deserts are dangerous and the coffee great!
Serving lunch most days with some dinners at weekends.
